You wont be disapointed with one lads!

Getting used to a car that you can not hear any engine or road noise from is wierd, the comfort of the thing is massive!

And does go side ways quite well too

I have been warned that if I don't keep with BMW for the services, I need to learn to ignore the I-drive for recommendaitons

Although a mate of mine who runs a garage, can change all the BMW warnings when I go see him.

I thought that was Passion Ford law now? you need to have a Ford in the garage and a BMW product as your daily...

Do like driving the 5 Series though, prefer these 'Dame Edna' shape ones to the current version looks wise too.

Handsome looking car there mate. I love my BM to bits, and love driving it. If you don't mind me giving you a tip, buy a pair of used (or new if you can pocket it) wheels and get some M & S tyres fitted for the possible snowy times etc. You will be glad you did!

I have been looking into buying two spare wheels to fit winter tyres mate, but the original spider alloys that I have fitted are going for Ł2000 a set

I am looking to get two cheaper replica's for the rear winter tyres, currently shopping, if I don't manage to get them before it snows I have another car I can used, I know these are shit in the snow.

That's the same width as my rears IIRC.

LOL!! ...unfortunately not, if I'd had a crystal ball, I'd likely not have gone for the diesel when I did since I left my course and started working a fortnight after I took delivery.

Nevermind, going for a DPF removal and remap on Thursday, so will see how that changes the drive/performance.

Kev try R-tech They are well known in Vag tuning circles and well respected, But also map BMW's. They are up your way.

http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/

They also map out the dpf

http://www.removal-dpf.co.uk/

Give them a call, May do a deal on map and dpf

Changed oil and filter on this today, 8.5ltrs

Can not for life of me get the idrive to reset though!

Also, struggling to find crank shaft breather location and I haven't got what looks like a Vortex fitting at rear of my inlet/head.

Any one any ideas on either?

Is this my breather?

Hi mate,

Looks like that's the one (well housing anyway)

Breather will be inside, either vortex (ideal type) or the loo roll type. In some cases people leave it out if it previously has had a loo roll type! I found this to be the case on mine, however I soon fitted a vortex type.

Link below also highlights this to be it:
