Default My E46 M3 Project (non ford)

Thought i should put up a Proper post about my M3 Project

I know some people forwn about Playing with the M3 etc but ive never been one to follow the crowd and wanted to build something that stood out.

The car wasnt damaged in anyway and was a perfect low miles Mint Carbon Black M3 with FSH etc and the likes of Hamon kardon etc. Immaybe Crazy but thougt what the hell.

Ive never been one to Mess about so things are moved VERY Fast with my M3 Project.

I bought the car 3 weeks ago as 100% Standard Carbon Black M3 but ive always loved a project, the last one Being a Grey Porsche Cayenne V8s that i had fitted with loads of speedart goodies then the colour changed to white.

So after buying the M3 a few week ago i fitted some 20" Wheels but after fitting them decided they wasnt for me and they had to go.

I found a pic of this American M3 on the net and loved it and wanted to use it as a rough idea of what i was going to build.

So the 20s were Removed and 19"LM's fitted and the car was stripped bare and the fun began.

Since then the car has had 3 guys working 15 hours a day on it all week for me and the quality is nothing short of outstanding.

The guy i use for my bodywork is one the best up here and is well known for painting the likes of Porsche 911 Cup Cars etc.

This is aint no wrap, the whole car inside and out has been painted Audi Ibis white.

All Carbon bits are seriously stunning Quality in the flesh and not cheap ebay sticky on jobbies lol.

Bumpers with the CSL Goodies will be back on the car tommorow and then ill get some proper pics along with the other bits still to be fitted

How it looked Last week.1/12/09, i fitted these 20" wheels but HATED them.

06/12/09

Some more poor quality progress pics that dont do the car justice but you get the idea of what was going on

12/12/09 and the car is Complete

Happy is an understatement.

Rear Bumper fitment isnt 100% but will be sorted and im unsure of the Carbon spoiler but in the flesh is alot better and is Growing on me.

My aim wasnt to build a CSL Replica so i didnt, i wanted to be Diff and add my own ideas to the car which i think seem to work well.

Car is soooo Bright its unreal and the looks it gets is Nuts

Red Leather goes really nice with the white.

Wont be to everyones taste but i hope you like, im Off to find a Superchgarger

Brad

Pics aint the best quality as i used my own, i will get better ones soon.

Some before i fitted the love it or hate it Carbon Spoiler

Its been a Busy 2 weeks but its been fun.

The Pics dont do the car justice and the looks it gets is UNREAL, on a 30min Drive, i spotted 3 people taking pics of it. Deffo stands out in the flesh.

Brad

bradz , looks pukka fella,

what about just to get an idea , wrapping the underside of the spoiler white ?

ie so the only carbon u see is the top face of carbon so it flows with the roof

that way it still is a carbon spoiler , but dont stick out like a wart on its arse , and if you dnt like the look peel the wrap off lol ,

was an idea we passed to a lad who fancied a black roof on his octavia

cheaper than paint lol ,

Really nice. But not sure on rear spoiler, and really don't like the two carbon lips on the front bumper.

Other than that it looks awesome.

If anything, the splitters are a bit odd looking, kinda stuck on but i thought the same about the e36 clubsport splitters too.

Other than that it is perfect, love it.

I'd personally do something with the front and rear spoilers, stand out a bit too much on the white!

Why ruin the E46 m3 handling and driveability with some stupid lowrider lowering?
I Would like to see camber and caster settings after lowering. I am pretty sure E46 M3 is at best from factory with factory wheel geometry.

i have 2 say from my opinion what was the point of that! the car looks like a 330i with a m3 bodykit i dont like it i prefer a m3 gorgous lookin car that dont need messing about with. why dident u jus go buy a csl with all that extra cash ur gonna waste on a nice good lookin car already built from the factory!

I see the carbon add ons on the bumper of the orange one do work with the carbon bonnet and the darker paintwork. Still not keen on them with the white though!
