yes its a mk1, someone told me its a twin cam, not 100% myself but its got the right front wings on it, there's a story behind the car being the guys brothers from new, its been there as long as i can remember

what pisses me off about this is people that let them to rot but WILL NOT sell then you go back and they are like oh i scrapped it!!! i found a mk3 capri 2.0 laser with 13,000 on the clock! tatty as fuck offered him 100 quid said he wanted more! went back a few months later scrapped it! pisses me right off!

This annoys the hell out of me, I had a similar issue with a mk2 xr2, he didn't want to sell for the money offered and then went and scrapped it later. Was only round the corner from me to! Do not see the point in holding onto something that will only get more rusty until it looks like cornflakes in the drive.

just spent the last hour reading this thread,what a waste and a lot of these cars are worth and could be saved i know of quite a few old fords lying about,some in not bad condition and restorable and some not,think i will have to start taking some pics too post,got my eye on 2 s1s as my next project once my xr2s done but i think i might be giving ricky gauld a bell about that s1 he has sitting at his workshop

theres quite a few mk1 and 2 2 doors and estates, makes me feel sick how people can just leave them like that. theres a guy near me and in his garden hes got 2 105e's a 105e estate a mk1 cortina and a couple of consuls. iv asked if he'll sell any but he wont. what a waste! hes also got a massive abandoned workshop, god knows whats in there.
