My mate has a 2.0 turbo MG ZR which is a mild sleeper. Lot quicker then the ZR160 which is the fastest one that left the factory anyway. Totally standard bodywork and 17" alloys, just looks like any other ZR but is able to keep up with really quick cars on straight roads. Think the bloke who has that burgandy Escort thats posted on here ( Stembo ) used to own the engine in his Rover 400?

loads more etc...

If your down Enfield North London, don't bother....lol

But now I'am not botherd about looks. It's just my runaround toy.
Isn't that the whole point of a sleeper, neglected looks, but goes like 'you know what off a shovel'.

This thread just makes me laugh everytime I even look at it, people getting so serious about what constitutes a 'sleeper'.

I've always taken it to mean a car that doesn't look fast or over stated, that is actually very fast. But to be honest, who sodding cares, there's some wicked cars on this thread, that's all that matters

i had to put the 15inch steels on as its got cossie discs and calipers on the back and fiesta st front discs and calipers so 15s were the smallest i could fit,ive also got a tow bar to fit aswell hopefully before classic ford show lol

Okay yes your right, went over the top with don't bother, but to be honest 90% of cars then round the way.
You will have to do 0-60 in under 4 sec then..lol
Yes mine is not really complete sleeper, but from behind fools everyone.
I do like most of the sleepers type cars on here, keep up the good work.

its more about the car being quicker than expected not what it can definately beat from the lights,i dont expect to beat scoobys and evos but have surprised quite a few cars even with a tired knocking engine
