Hi guys,just wondered if the proper combi vans have a roof lining? Mine has one but as it used to be an estate it used to fold round the glass seal and as thats now plated it hangs down so just wanted to know how the van ones fixed in if they had one?

my bro inlaw does'nt want his anymore as he lost interest,he said he goin to scrap it,the engine has gone in his sapp,told him ill ave the estate,my sis said he knows i want it, just need to go fetch it but the place is shut at weekends,its been dragged outside now so it will ave water sat in it

mine did mate,were the panels was it had a rubber around the lip were a window rubber would sit,the head lining had clips on like a estate would have
u can see the rubber but not much head lining

Keeping it on steel wheels, although they are currently 14s so I may move up to 15s.

Oh and the car has an RS Turbo brake conversion, and a horn that goes AROOOOGA.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should go for? Whats easiest?

well i got my sleeper stripped and sold all the efi parts and all the suspension and polybushes,then bought a q plate s2 off a mate and put the sleeper back on the road again lol,i will be making a bit more progress on my cossie estate in the next few weeks as im out of work at the moment and getting very bored sat doing nothing all day every day lol im hoping to get all the welding done so i can get it all cleaned up and stonechipped underneath then i can start putting the interior back in aswell then and figuring out how to mount the front and rear seats

old engine made 270atw @ 18psi. fancy running abit more on the new lump.

my sleeper is the same colour as yours mate,ive got a roof rack on mine and also putting a towbar on it soon aswell so i can tow my gokart around lol mines on 15inch tsw stealths now though so the discs all round are visible now lol

I didnt want to put alloys on mine i thought it would give the game away to much so i got the 15 inch steelies of a fiesta fusion i was paniking abit once i put the 4 pots on about them clearing the calipers but they literally just clear.
I didnt really want a stainless exhaust on it either but it was cheaper to get a stainless one than a mild steel one so i just got one with a small tip if it stands out too much ill just key it up and paint it black.

i used to have mondeo 15inch steels on it before i stripped it and sold them about 2 or 3 weeks before buying the s2 that i stripped to put everything back into it again lol mines got a magnex exhaust on it at the moment with a 4 inch tailpipe so gives it away a little bit more but ive got another exhaust that i can put on if i want to

its still about mate a friend of mine owns it in welwyn,its been off the road for quite a while but i had it at my house for a while converting it to efi turbo,it should be back on the road in the next few months

Ace, if you've got any pics mate i'd love to see them. I built it from scratch when i was 16 got loads of old pics from what it originally looked like all the way through if your friend is interested.

i own f803 plr m8 i saw some of the pics a while back on escortcombi i would love some pics if u could email them to me i bought it in stevenage about 2.5/3 years ago off fleabay from a bloke in stevenage who was planning on converting it to a zetec after a year i put a rsturbo in it then took it off the road in july last year n its been off the road since like jonesey said he just converted it to efi for me or i prob would of give up lol we finally got it started today so i need a wiper n a headlight then its mot time looks the same as when u had it minus the wheels n m3 mirrors instead rst mirrors in black n some s2 alloys may be putting the wheels on off our st170 though

Bet it goes well with a turbo in it. I put the 1.6 carb engine in just before i sold it and it was fairly quick then, but it could out handle a lot of things aswel

yeah m8 was pretty quick b4 do u know what gbox was on it, as atm its got a s2 1 on there but ive still got the other box as a spare didnt brake too well though on the solid discs lol cant wait to get it back on the road fully its now running but been off the road for nearly a year now so mot tax insurance time

It was on the std 1.6 diesel box when i sold it, Was a good strong box with long ratio's. Suited the old engine well and could out accelerate an xr3i.
