Hi, can you please help? I have a 2006 focus 1.8 ltr tdci sport, yesterday the car developed a loss in power when acelerating. The rev counter reaches 3k revs and the power drops off. The onboard display shows 'engine system failure'. Does anyone have any ideas?

I wonder if anyone can help me, l own st170 53plate, I've been really struggling to get it into reverse to the point I had to force it in with both hands! Now I can't get reverse at all! I was thinking of getting it on axle stands as high as possible' then pop the cables off an see if I can manually get it into reverse, at least I'd know it wasn't the gear box! I fitted a new clutch myself on stands but this was 4000 mls ago, so can't see a link to that. I'm a fairly competent although left the trade once qualified as money an hours were rubbish! Any help much appreciated. Gaza123.

Hi there! My name is Freddy in South Africa. I own a 2003 1.6 Ford Focus ambiente with about 180000km on the clock. Recently I realized my last spark plugs change was incorrectly done because the spark plugs were a little over tightened. When I tried to remove the spark plugs, it came out with the treads of the engine heads which left the hole for the spark plugs bigger. Therefore the spark plugs does not fit on the hole any more. Now I'm not sure as to what can I do to fix the problem. Do I necessarily need to buy a new engine head or get the same one redone? Or who can reliably fix this problem. I was told this could be fixed by Helicoil but I'm not convinced this could yield positive results.
Please advise.

Hi there. I have a problem with my ford fucus 1.8 tddi. 90ps.. When i set off in the morning when the car is cold it pulls really well like it should but by the time i get 1000yards down the end of my street it turns very sluggish as if the turbo isn't working. It will get up to 90 100 but it takes ages. It starts great, there is no lights on the dash, it doesn't smoke and it returns good mpg. Could anyone help please.

Default St170 2003.

Hi all. When I turn off the engine the dials will not go into the middle like they did when I first bought it. Does this mean anything?
