Iv jus bought a mk5 H reg escort convertible with a power roof that doesnt work, iv been told that it just needs a new relay. Does any1 know the colour and location of the relay?? The relay code would help as well if some1 knows it??

It's worth investing in a Haynes Manual if you're doing the car up anyway Try ebay for the cheapest

If you can't be arsed, phone you local ford agent or better still go in and ask them to get the part up on their computer

Also, I would imagine the relay for the hood is located in the fuse box to the left of the bulkhead as you stand looking at the car

the power hood relay is just above the power pump just remove the boot cover and behind the plates you will find 2 relays clipped in place i had a problem with mine not working and found out that one wire broke away so i replaced it with a new spade and it now working best of luck to you mate

ive got a 93 and i have a fuse and a relay behind the driver side kick panel..my roof didnt work when i got it a year later i found this..changed fuse n voila...might help
