Long pedal travel after new front pads?
Ive done a set of front pads on a 2010 Honda accord Estate, the fronts and backs were heavily warn but I only got given the fronts to do.
Did the pads in the usual way as I have always done but the owner is complaning of lots of travel? Ive tried it myself and the brakes are very good but they do feel a bit different than before, could it be because the rears are warn badly and the fronts are new or would that not make a difference?
The pedal before the pads were done was very very sensitive, now it just feels like a normal pedal to me.
No warning lights on the dash or out and the fluid level is on MAX.
Thanks.

If the pads were down to the metal (it's possible!) then new ones would seem soft, or if the discs are worn unevenly, then the pads will need time to ware down into the grooves.

check for any "pips" on the pad backing.
i did a rexton 4x4 front pads and the owner complained of long pedal travel. tried bleeding etc. eventually found that the calliper was flexing on a "pip" on the pad backing. must have been for a different car, but the shape was exactly the same.
