Default Corsa C suspension advice needed

is there a difference between the standard front & rear suspension on a Corsa C 1.0 and a 1.2 Sxi?

Son number 1 had fitted rock hard coilovers on it, now that number 2 son is using it to learn to drive, I'd like to put the original suspension back on. Trouble is, he got rid of it, so need to start from scratch!

any help gratefully received?

The SXI has different springs on it compared to a 10XE Life. But the suspension will swap between the two if required.

are they just a different spring rate, or physically shorter/longer?

only reason i ask, is that there's a pair of complete front struts for 19.99 on ebay that i was hoping would be just a straight swap.

The SXI springs are slightly shorter and stiffer as they are classed as "lowered sport suspension" by vauxhall even though there is nothing sporty about them.

But if your replacing the pair together as full units its just a case of 2 nuts and bolts through the hubs, one drop link nut, strut top nut and the brake pipe on each side. And the bolts through the hub are not elliptic like on some cars so even easier.

as above if you are fitting a matching pair you will be fine putting the 1.2 stuff on a 1.0

It's vice versa, the 1.0 units will go on a 1.2
