Would a bad battery cause this?
If got an aftermarket alarm and central locking system on my car (Corsa B)
I noticed today when I unlocked the car via the key fob the passenger side door didnt unlock fully. (I hadnt opened the car since last night and this was about 5pm) So I unlocked it manually, got in the car, started it and the car locked all the doors properly as it normally would. Got out of the car after a half hour drive and locked it and all the doors locked.
Came to it about 3 hours later and the same again, didnt fully unlock. Had the door card off pissing about with the lock (even tried a differnt motor but still had the same problem. (Unlocking about half way unless the car is running)
Its as if its tight but only noticed it today. greased everything up and took the little cap that goes around the door pin and it made it a little easier but still wont unlock unless the cars running!

Sounds like a lack of charge/power then as you say... Car running, alt charging, it opens. After sitting a alarm draining battery a touch, half only.
It's that time of year now, if a battery is on its way out, it's gonna die now.
Try hooking the batt up to a mates batt with some jumper cables and locking and unlocking. See what it does before you do the doe on a new batt (if that won't send your alarm wild of course!)

Not a Clifford alarm then?!? Mine goes loopy if I try and disconnect mine...
Best bet as a start is pop a mates battery on, try it, see what it does and go from there mate Let us know how you get on and if that doesn't fix it, then I'll have another think
But yeah, 4 years and 10k, odds are its had it!!
Hope it works out buddy
