Post Ford KA complex issue - please help!

Hi

I have a 1.3 54 KA.

- changed the heater module to stop ONLY hot air blowing, this was a success, after reconnecting the battery I had a engine management light come on.

- went to mates to use obd2 scanner, came up with p0030 fault code (Powertrain: H02S Heater control circuit Bank 1: Sensor 1) and couldn't complete a test on the fuel system because: "Open Loop: Has not yet satisfied conditions to go Closed Loop".

- replaced the sensor 1 on manifold £50 was the correct part lb1604

- reset fault code, but reappeared!

- there is voltage going to the sensor.

- Car is leaning to rich mixture, so it's drinking my fuel more

- There is no running problems, just using a lot more fuel.

Cheers

The 1.3 duratec model might have two lambda sensors, my sportka 1.6 has two but replacing the top one fixed the EML after a few miles of driving, the lower one is near the bend under the firewall
