Hi just wondering if anyone could help me with the following problem on my ka. Basically its lacking power big time as in i can just about get 40 mph out of it in 3rd and thats it giving all its got. Use to run fine and was nice and nippy but now it is really flat. It starts fine and revs fine stood still but as soon as you attempt to drive it there is nothing. I have checked that no sensors have come off, changed the spark plugs and made sure the is good fuel pressure. Its also recently had a full service so i cant be dirty air filter etc. I am hoping someone has come across this in the past and will be able to help me

i assume its not missing or anything like that. it could be something as simple as a blocked cat. has it been slowly getting worse or happen all of a sudden

no mate no missing revs really clean stood still its only under any load (driven) its awful seemed to be all of a sudden to be honest i am wondering whether the insides of the cat have collapsed too as its still the original one

yes mate, its a ford Ka i joke

could it have gone into a limp mode of some description?
would imagine its ECU related, take it to the ford garage and they will put it on the little diagnosis computer thing (completely forgotten then name of it)
