got meself a vectra 2.5 v6 when i first had it the key fob would open and lock the door,then all of a sudden it stoped working,now every time wana open it i have to use the key hole but then the alarm sounds till put key in ignition,neighbours not very happy in morning! tryed new battery but nuffin then tryed programming while on postion 2 on ignition and holding both buttons but still nuffin,im trying to sell it so can get rs turbo back on road so if any help would be great thanx

Does the LED on the keyfob light up when pressing the buttons, if not then check the connections to the battery.

If it lights up then it'll need reprogramming to the car, i think you have to turn on the ignition and then press LOCK button and then the UNLOCK button (within 30s of turning on the ignition).

yeah mate the LED lights up when pressing the fob,ive tryed doing the programming but nothing,when i first ad the car it worked but as soon as i washed it since then it as stoped,its really doing my head in now,also i have just noticed that at night time the lights on the dashboard and clocks keep going on and off could this be to do with it?

On your 1st post you said that you pressed the lock and unlock button together, but you are supposed to press the LOCK and then the UNLOCK after it.

If this doesn't work then disconnect the car battery (make sure you have the radio code), leave it for 10 mins and re-connect and try again with the reprogramming.

hi mate thanx for all the help but ive tryed both the things you told me to do but still nuffing dont now wot else to try,it is really getting on my nerves now bloody vauxhalls any more ideas would be great

Did you try this :

1) leave drivers door open
2) switch on ignition
3) press lock button.
4) press open button

yes mate ive just tryed this and still nuffin! do you think there is any thing else i could try? ive checked all the fuses and seem ok
