Unhappy escort van clutch help

Hi

just a quick post as losing the rag with this thing !!!!
anyway i have a m reg escort diesel van (my work van) and
on the road home the clutch pedal hit the floor, so had to
double clutch it 10miles.
so got home thought it was the cable had snapped but no, cable
was fine, checked the clutch lever at the gearbox seams fine
there as well.
then had a look at the pedal itself stripped it off and not sure if there
is anything wrong with it as the teeth on the quadront look fine can there be anything missing couldnt find anything on the floor but could have fell under the sound deadning or pinged into the dash ect.

any help, pictures or anything related would be great thanks

Martin

the only thing under there will be the large quadront with a small teethed one above it with a spring that holds it on there, or has it got a adjuster on the pedal as right on the change over. if that all looks ok look at lever on box carefully as sometimes they snap and move around but its not very obvious that they have. if not it may be that the release bearing has worn through the cover hope that helps
