I bought my tdci focus apx 3 months ago with it just recently have had a recon'd turbo @ the cost to prev owner of £520.
I had the car apx 1 month and the missus was driving 40 mph on sat when sounded like the boost pipe had come off. This wasn't the case i got the car home and founf the impeler was shot on the new turbo the previous owner contacted the turbo company who have replace the turbo which has been fitted.
Unfortuanatly i have a new problem the car periodicly mainly when unload smokes (Black) really bad sometimes its fine but sometimes its plooms of black smoke and compete lack of boost.
thinking could be actuator, but have been told it could be a shot piston.

any info would be appriciated. cheers

eiher boost pipe is possibly loose/coming off or could be over fueling wouldnt eb a shot piston as it would run like a piece of crap if the crown was burnt out
