Default Ecu help.

Hi peeps. I have a 2.1 zvh conversion to put in my track ka. It has ofab ecu. I would like after market management but canny afford it right now.

My question is, can i run the lights, dials, starter, leccy windows etc through the KA original ecu and then put the RST OFAB ecu in with a live feed just to run the engine?

So basically, 2 ecu's, 1 for the lights etc and one for just the engine.

Thanks, Help really appreciated.

I have seen that before, it's a straight forward approch, try speaking to track developments. Let no how you get on with it, planing to build a zetec turbo ka in future. Im a ka nut lol

Bad example but I built a buggy a few years ago wit a mondeo 2 litre zetec, found no probs just running the engine off the stanard ecu, right up untill it got bashed on the side of the cage that is lol

Though your goin to have to run the starter off the zetec ecu, maybe a zetec s fez ecu would be a all in one solution

A lot of peaople have used 2 ECUs on Ka conversions.

My mate had a puma 1.7 ka running the puma ecu and the ka ecu and he also had an RST ka with both ECUs originally and then jsut the RST ecu after that.
