Hi,
I or rather the gf has a mk3 astra, a little 1.4 auto multipoint, but being modded slowly, got a rebuilt 1600 going in sometime in the year.
pf is very good there are all sorts of car owners on here make wise, seems a pretty freindly place.
I noticed you front lights, the gf has seen some of them and wondered about them for hers, but what are they like performance wise at night compared with the originals, which are not that great.
The reason she has a astra is because I consider it a better car for our needs than the equivalent ford, they all have good and bad points, but having to remove the timing belt to change the stat on "doddy"(astra) pisses me off big time, what a bloody useless design, especially when the germans version had a different pipe so the stat wasn't hidden and could be done in 5 minutes!!

Yes same one I'm afraid!!
Thanks for the piccie, look very very good, I think if the gf sees this it will be more money spent on new lights, I assume that is std type bulbs not HID ?
The permanent dip mod works ace for free doesn't it!!
Just need to do the 10p fog/brake light mod now!

that is with 6k HID's but even when they still had standard bulbs they pissed all over the normal astra lights.
the light went further than it shows in that pic, it was on my camera phone and made it look darker

Good piccie from a camera phone, I tried the std astra light with the HID kit 5000K, as wanted whitey white(am I allowed to say that ?), but were all over the place, plenty more light but not a pattern in sight, going to try them on the sapphy.
