Assuming the fuse is for the fan motor, it would have to be a short, or a jammed/seized blower motor to blow the fuse.
I don't know if the use the same shit arrangement that KA and festa etc use with the control valve on the bulkhead(engine side) and a nice very unreliable circuit board and controls, but if they do, I would suspect these, or am I misunderstanding you ? tabetha |

The fuse box under the dash and basically ive got no blowers at all and when i change the fuse it just blows again after about 5 secs of turning the fan speed control. Im guessing its got nothing to do with 1, fuse box (cause itd doing its job) 2, heating section eg matrix, thermostat. Im thinking a faulty switch basically cause im guessing lol. So is this a new one not too common then. Last edited by The Joker; 10-01-2010 at 06:08 PM. Reason: missed a bit |

I would unplug the motor, and then operate the fan switch, and see what the result is, if the fuse remains ok, you know the motor is at fault, seized most likely, or a wire shorting, but could even be something jammed in there, esp if someone has used it without a pollen filter if it should have one.
I remember my renault 11 used to blow the blower fuse if I went round right hand bends to quick, the rag I was using to check the oil etc was being stored behind the firewall bit, and used to slide across the fan input and jam the fan!! tabetha |
