Default Cougars, any good?

Im looking at a new daily early next year, and have noticed how obscenely cheap Cougars are at the moment. Is there a reason for this?. Anybody have any experience of them?

Fucked my mates mum once.

Absolutely amazing in bed but wouldn't have one for a daily.

Just a MK2 Mondeo with the practicality removed really. I think I'd rather have the Mondeo and the extra space.

I raced against one at Santa pod, I had a CRX VTI and his was a V6, he gobbed off a lot about his V6 and then shut the hell up once he got beaten by a 1.6.

Other than not very quick off the line, they are a nice looking car.

Excellent cars, had my Xpack V6 for 6 month and it still thoroughly enjoy it

it handles superbly, engine is cracking ,very refined, smooth and strong, and nice torque delivery

i drive it everyday and i dont find it impractical, sure if you want a pair of 6 footers in the back theyre gonna be cramped but they still fit, huge boot

cheap parts and reliable, just like its mondeo platform

reason i think they are so cheap now is (thanks to not being a prestigious badge.. blue oval) they lost out to more competitive brands but clearly werent given the chance they deserved

also being a big engine which most dont want out of a cheap car particularly a run around, more the bargain to be had though!
