Default Ford F150 (Project Gas Guzzler)

Aye well, with the price of petrol at an all time high I thought I'de stick a thread up about my Truck. (Crappy I-Phone Pic)

Its an F150, 08 SCREW with a 6.5ft bed ... Running a stock 5.4 V8 3 valver with 305hp

Spring is here and only leads to summer so I've bought an Eaton Supercharger kit for it Simply bolt it on and off you go.

Should be good for 450 HP @ 7psi .. Am thinking about buying a METCO +2 & +4 psi lower drive for it and a few other little bits .. With an Email Tune it should see over 500HP easy .. Need the tune to run the +4.

Picture of the charger ..

I have to go to Montana On the 10th to pick it up .. Then its being shipped to Minnesota to have a top & Bottom Port / Polish including the TB / PL

It's not that easy .. The kit is second hand so a few parts are missing like the charge cooler LTR, I also need to change the harmonic balancer to fit the lower drive .. Still parts can be had cheap in the states ..

Happy Easter everyone.

Aye should be fun. Although dangerous with that kinda power through the rear wheels. Gonna be interesting in the winter

I requested the thread moved a few days ago but whatever. People are more interested in "What colour was your shit today" threads on this place recently.

All updates will be copy & paste from other places.

450hp is just back street power at 7psi boost. Its the bottom end grunt iam after. Good for towing. It's all about money. The more you spend the more HP.

A bloke a talk to in Texas is running 650hp (500rwhp) with a venom cooler etc.

Stripping the charger for "The Man" to fettle Pulley off .. You can see the damage FFS!

Got a DUB pulley for it (Sitting in Montana awaiting my collection) Leaving this stock size .. Can change to a smaller pulley at will .. Pulleys are press fit on Eaton chargers

Got a price for a FULL top / bottom port, PL & TB port .. Also having the 38lb injectors serviced with chart ... This should push over 500 hp ..

Have 90% of the parts now ...

Thanks mate .. I keep randomly going into the man-cave just to turn the dam thing ..

The early 00 - 04 L / HD's only had 380hp tut tut ..

The newer HD's 06 - 08 have a factory option Saleen twin screw SC that could push big boost ..

Ah fuck, Probably cheaper to run this F150 than a V8 Range rover .. Could always go LPG ... A company in London will RHD one for Ł5k ..

Canada's one thing .. Move the the USA .. You Could own a 9 second 1/4 mile Dodge Cummins and run it cheaper than the ST in the UK .. I fucking love it down there in the US .. Could Walk around with a 44 auto in the back pocket, Smoke in pubs, 30 tins of Bud lite for $16 Dollars etc ...

Yup, yup.

My Cummins is only a 15-second truck on a good day, but such is life with a 5-speed and 37's. Got a pistol in my hip pocket right now. The state banned smoking in bars a couple years ago, and honestly I'm fine with that. Makes it a lot more enjoyable for us non-smokers (which is the vast majority, anyway.)

Aye thanks allot.

Na the charger went to Stiegmeier In MO. Stage 6 port & TB & PL.

Also having the injectors cleaned & flowed with chart etc. Thinking about a Venom cooler if the price is right. Having the scilencer holes filled so it should scream

Sent it off yesterday

Nice Dodge mate you will be loosing allot of RWHP being a Dually.

You can still pretty much do anything in Montana. I was looking at the firearms in Ski-haus last week

The Can dollar is Level pegging the USD at the moment so thigs down there are even cheaper. Gonna head down next week.

Oh and thanks R4N a custom tune will lift the 99 mph limit once flashed.

Just back from Kalispell .. Picked up a few parts ..

DUB pulley

+4lb LFP crank pulley & Hub .. Nice piece of kit but the 4lb ring is no good!

Also got the Terminator Heat exchanger

Relief today and a little stoked .. Found out that the SC is a Stage 4 Snake-Bite blower .. Double rotor speed .. This with the 4lb would have been a Total melt-down .. Unknown HP levels with that much boost .. Would have run very very Lean at WOT .. Glad I sent it off for the experts to figure

Thanks mate.

It will be even better when I get that blower fitted.

Just spoke to the porter again and it's a Troyer snake bite special that will run 30% overdrive on standard pulleys. Stage IV port already done.

The truck it came off done 438 RWHP with long tubes and decent tune.

Anyhow. Not much is happening at the moment. The rest of the parts should be on the 14th. Am back to work on Thursday so the conversion might take a while longer.

Should be picking on a few Cameros & Mustangs once set up.

The only reason you need 6 numbers would be to run this thing

Bought into a group buy for some cogs.

Mental? Sound fucking painful. I hate to see and engine pushed like that. The non boosted whistle is priceless.

She hit 11psi and held 10.4 all the way.

No crank HP but based on dyno figures it's just under 500 at the crank.

Nice. They made a limited 100 run 'NiteMare' single cab but I doubt it was one of them.

Bet the bloke has plenty of ESSO points

Oh yeah and having researched the MD600 Dyno this spec should have made 430+RWHP all day.

Anyhow bought some AEM digital gauges. These things ain't cheap! But got a deal.

That 15psi Boost gauge is gonna move real good.

Also had a 'Gaugepods' dual mount made up like Jimbos.

http://www.f150online.com/forums/1909503-post5.html

Oh yeah and got a deal on a 'Killer Chiller' AC charge cooler. Should be interesting.

Liking this thread a lot! And agree about the US. In some states they have a great culture (well, to my liking anyway) but it is being watered down in the nanny state style of Europe. Gradually, but it's happening.

Thanks allot fellas.

Update: last week I fitted a Killer-Chiller unit to the truck. Basically it uses the AC to super cool the Intercooler fluid. Works real good. The ECM determines air density via IAT's and retards timming at around 130F. The IAT's never go over 120F even with the 32C ambient temps. The blower generates a lot of heat and would push IAT2 (Intake Air Temp) up over 150F.

Also I've noticed the boost is down. Living at the same altitude as Ben Nevis takes its toll. So gonna throw a +2lb pulley on and throw it back on the rollers soon.

Hey Alan. Thanks pal. The USA is just like another world. Although they do get mass gun killings now and then. IDE still risk it.

Thanks, She goes like a Raped ape at the moment with the cooler charge air.

Got the FAL monster fan kit and it's bolted to the S331 Rad. Gonna fit that soon.

Anyhow she's gonna go even better once I Fit the Manley forged bottom end Iam putting together. 8.7:1 with a 11cc dish.

+4lb pulley should liven it up a little.

For some reason The other photos won't upload on PB??
