Please tell me if I am missing some thing obvious, but how are you ever going

I would still like to know what you are doing about brakes for the front of this car, are you going with something like a subaru set up or going with a big kit for a mk 2 escorts hubs?

Rear brake where escort mk3 front discs and calipers
so need to find something nice for the back

front I had 360mm x 32 megamoster brakes with 6pot calipers from a cosworth

But I sold them as they would be to much

So I'm going to have a kit made but not till I have the car running and almost finished

As i know once it starts I will want to take it down the road so no brakes no chance untill it's all complete lol

Just working on the fuel lines pumps and filter now

o well the pedal box and alloy for the boot floor didnt turn up today

so i have been busy sorting out the fuel side of things

i fitted the fuel rail and made a cover to go over the old fuse box hole and made it so the fuel hose flow and return will run though there now

i also run the hose for the dump valve and the fuel rail

i have made up a template for the mod to the alimax gear surround
as where i have the gearbox sitting nice and high the surround now needs to be raised higher so that is being done at the same time as having the jic fitting welded to the tank and swirl pot

Sounds like a very good plan that mate, it would be a bit of a bummer if you took it out without insurance and then got banned wouldn't it.

i was told i needed to run pump into swirl pot and pump out of swirl pot to fuel rail

i was told i would need 044 pumps

and its better to fit the right fits first so was i want more power everything is there already

having fuel lines custom made so they will never leak

They seem to leak via the threads in the caps, even if you dont fill them right up,theres a disscusion on turbosport and i was quite supprised at how many others had the same problem, there is supposed to be something to put inside to help but ive not tryed them

If you get some silicon sealant rub a little around the rubber seal before doing it up
and only do up hand tight that will give you the seal u need

Tried and tested by me

Or buy a res sock that goes over the brake res that way if anything gets out it stays in the sock not on the floor

This is what I did on the race bike

Sweet band will do

I do think if it was in the Gulf blue and orange it would fit the car better
but I am happy with it so far

And it's not a bad way to spend a year and just under £30k
