Only a few days to go and a mini heatwave knocks at our doors today, luckily temp is meant to be down to lowish 20s for the weekend which should please all those travelling

I was meant to be going but situations conspired to thwart that. Hope all those going have a good day and that the show gives all the possibility that it showed last year, not the debacle that was FF this year.

temp has taken a nose dive but tomorrows forecast is dry and as we know all decent cars prefer cold air to run up the strip, as tomorrows club area is a sell out Im looking forward to it

Wow back to the toilets! Saturday we was at the back of the lanes and that was enough! I saw the trade stands getting ready too with a few Fords tuning up but nothing like today i guess. Im keen to see if a mk3 RS went down too.

Must say Ford fair this year was not the best for me anyway.

Mk2 cortina,

I dont think the strip is the place for Focus's as there a bit heavy most only run 13/14's i think saw one mk1 rs get into the 12's. There wasn't really anything modern that was quick the old skool won the new v old by a long shot.

Some of these big power cossys need to get on the strip instead of parking them up and just sticking power graphs to there windows.

Interesting, guessing that's the V8 one rather than the 2.3 ecoboost though ?

The 1/4 mile times between new frs and v8 mustang are virtually identical. EVO mag tested them both and there's nothing between them really.

Cheers for uploading! The mk1 escort is a quick beast indeed!!

I am shocked PF won't be at Ford fair, guess everyone will display elsewhere.

Also i would of thought the mk3 FRS would beat the mustang since the 4WD.

reason pf wont have a stand at ford fair is its become shit, apart from a very short paul swift stunt show that was it, the rest of the so called show was clubs so why do we pay to be a exhibit ? we may as well have had a drift area in a retail park for free, everyone thought last years show was tame and this years was the worst I had ever seen which was very badly organised with no attractions, bad planning with massive areas in centre of show empty and people getting ripped off for ticket fees and totally fucked up track time, and if your impressed by seeing focus st / rs popping then crack on, but it nothing like the show it used be, its only the attraction of silverstone bringing people in so silverstone classic or the touring cars we will a option instead next year, ford fest was 10x a better show than ford fair and had plenty of attractions

Next year i think ill go to Ford fest then and not Ford fair! Plus at Santa pod you can watch the cars go down all the time unlike sitting and wait at Silverstone for them to come past every now and again.

To be fair it can't stay being sierras and escorts forever and i guess they have to move over for the newer cars but it has lost its zing. The worse is the sea of orange

agree the scene is changing and just seeing sierras would bore me too variety is key, as for sea or tango, the sea of imperial blue mk1 frs have alot to answer for

tbh I think kelsey trying to swamp the ford scene with sub standard car shows has bit them on the arse massive this year, classic ford has lost its edge as even still after rule changes you still see new fords and non fords on club stands, their ford international show was a total flop at sandown racecourse and the london 2 brighton run was also very poor, ford fair has changed to focus fest, and the new jewel in the crown is ford fest fest and best of the lot as its a fair entry price with plenty of attractions to keep you busy all day
