I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
no glenn, driving down on the day i've just ordered a couple of tickets on the phoneline so 'hopefully' they should be here before friday.
looking at previous years it may be best to get there about 7am-ish to avoid the queues. so if its 4hrs from up here that'll be up at 2am to leave at 3am
it was after 9 when we started queuing up about a mile away from the circuit last year and took over an hour to get in with the temp needle in the red and the heaters blowing hot air full belt
so if it needs to be an early morning then so be it.
i hope the tickets arrive though as i'm unsure if the box office will be open that early to collect them if they don't turn up

was a mare last year glenn, we sat for an hour just to get back onto the M1 to come home so it was after 10:30 pm when i got home. it ended up being ten hours driving to be at the show for about 7 hours which is why i wasn't going to bother this year. there's been a spare stand pass came up for our group through the week so i've said sod it, i'll have a passenger this year unlike last year so we may need to take shifts on the drive back.
i did santa pod twice last year, there and back in one day as well and fell asleep both times coming back. i was only an hour up the road too
i even needed to stop at wetherby services coming back from ND the other week as well must be old age

i know what you mean mate, most of our group travel the day before now but i always just go on the day.
as for the scots lol, they travel the length and breadth of the country to get to a show and the rsoc lads offer loads of support to the club. yet when i go up to knockhill there seems very little support goes the other way

For those heading north from Silverstone after the event. Take the a5 off the a43 and get on the m1 at j17. Saves the queing on the a43 and the overheating issues that go with it.

i'll keep that in mind bryan
come on glenn, you should know by now that that sort of banter is only allowed to go one way and not the other, shandy drinkers don't like it
