Seeing as everything they make now is "finecast" plastic all of the metal models are worth a a fair bit.

Example, In the first pic that land speeder (the blue+white thing)at the bottom of the pic, they go for £30+ on ebay.

It'd probably take a while to auction it all on ebay but i'd say you have hundreds of pounds worth there.

Never played the game, but remember I used to paint the Titans - if you see one or two of those I'll send you some beer tokens. Something like this:

where did you take it in? swindon's shopping center being in wiltshire or somewhere else?

Either sort something out with the guy above or just ebay as one big listing or individual listings on a free listing day.

Good luck.

Thats a fantastic collection, many years worth with items from before my time and I was collecting 20 years or so ago.

I've sold a few figures on ebay and you will get a bit of money for unpainted ones. Painted ones aren't usually as valuable as you can't always paint over them and keep a good quality. Its hard to tell from the pictures but the condition is key. Also, the rarity of them too. You get specialist figures and ones that weren't around for long, like figures that changed spec or got quickly phased out.

That is a very good collection there with all the boxes adding to the value of it. Unless you get a good offer for the whole lot you would be far better selling individually or possibly even donating it.

There is easily many hundreds spent on that and probably well over a thousand - never mind the many hours spent on it.

It might be worth getting in touch with a club or group. There are usually ones linked or organised by the local Games Workshop and I'm sure there will be guys that would be interested in many items from that collection.

What are the items in the boxes like? Some of those tanks may be worth something.

hi some of the box's are damaged but all the bits are there 90% is ok
i could really do with someone coming to my house and having a look the pictures do not do it all justice

Are the ones in the boxes unpainted?

I'm up in Scotland so not exactly local I'm afraid.

Without knowing circumstances - did you friend play the game with anyone else (I'm guessing it wasn't all about the painting as quite a few are not finished)? You might be able to get contacts that way or they might even be interested in some of them. It would be more of a justice to your friend if his playing partners got some of the collection than some random bloke on ebay.

If you were to do Job lots on ebay then you could do it in batches, like a batch of the Codexes and a batch of the Eldar etc.

Just start with a 99p and see how it goes. Thats just how I done it and was surprised when a single figure reached over a tenner.

Random question how come he gave them too you rather than selling them himself if their worth a bit?!

Either way if you don't have an idea in value for the whole lot I'd just do what your doing and eBay it all!! They should sell for what their worth as there's a market for them rather than what someone thinks their worth

?? That's a pointless post " if I have no idea of value" that's why I'm posting asking does anyone know much about it. And it turns out yes there are a lot of
People on this forum that's knows a lot about it.

And yes a lot of items are now on EBay/ other forums and have been selling fast

As for why In selling it and not my friend it's because he sadly passed away.
I am keeping some of the rare'er stuff and 3 large armies and having them painted then put on show and any money from the sales will be going to the cost of his head stone

Didn't quite come out how I meant was more with things like that they normally sell better on eBay than what people think their worth if their trying to get you to sell them cheap (happened to a mate of mine, he had some old vintage tamiya cars that work colleague gave him silly money for cos he didn't know what they were worth, the guy knew what they were worth then went on to sell them for £150 odd each!!)

Sorry to hear about your friend he'll be glad to know their being sold to people who want them rather than thrown away or sold to any old person!!

Always liked the idea of that sort of thing but never really got into it

its ok i understand

i have had some silly offers of £500 for the lot and iv sold 10 items and made that
i know a lot more about it and have had some long phone calls with people on what some of its worth yes there is a sort after market for them.
i offered the lot to someone for £1,500 he said that was to much... he's now wanting to buy it too late i say

i also have a lot of tamiya tanks, troops, jeeps im selling off
the list is endless

You have some money's worth there mate a friend of mine collects this stuff and he pays daft money on it all .. What ever you do do not go out and sell it as job lot do it individually might take some time but you should get a fair wedge for it all !!
