£125.....
The day.
Gates open at 8.00ish (officially 8.30) and we will meet in the Tavern
at 9.00 for an introduction and briefing. Try to get there if you can
and if everyone is on time we will get on the track more quickly.
I know some people are coming from afar so may not be able to make it,
so we will be having briefings as required later on.
To get on track you need 3 things (besides your car!)
1. Sound check sticker. CC suffer from stupid local councillers
upholding a complaint from 3, yes just 3 locals about noise and have to
be absolutely clear about noise. YOU WILL NOT GET PAST THE TEST IF YOUR
CAR IS IN EXCESS OF 100db. No exceptions. The CC guys will be in the
carpark initially. And you will be able to get this done before the
briefing.
2. A sticker showing you have registered and paid for the day. You will
get this from my long suffering wife who will be in the tavern. At the
same time you will have to sign a indemnity form. ANYONE including
passengers must sign one before going on track.
3. Attend a briefing. There you will get all the information about track
use and etiquette etc. Most will have done it before, but it is
important that we all know what each other is doing out there. You will
get a wristband. Passengers are welcome to attend but it is not compulsory
Stickers go in the top corner of the windscreen. If you haven't got a
windscreen, Lindsey, stick it somewhere else!
Sorry about the stickers and bands, but it is a fairly large group and I
have to be organized otherwise the whole thing descends into a pile of
shite.
Crash helmet and sensible clothing. CC are generous and allow us to use
their stock of Helmets for free. If you use one then make sure you
return it. If the door is locked leave it outside. If tyhere are any
missing at the end of the day the I will have to pay for them personally
and that will really piss me off and we won't have the facility in the
future .
Needless to say we have never had a problem in the past and I don't
expect one in the future. Its one of the great things about having a
group of responsible people.
You need long sleeved shirts and proper trousers.
We will have a stock of unique long sleeved Tee shirts with a logo for
the day. Again Moira will sell you one of these at £10 (basically cost).
There are a limited number but we ran out last year so have more this year.
Everyone uses a helmet, passengers included.
There is no limit on drivers - you have paid for the car and if you
choose to let someone else drive, that’s up to you.
We have use of the pits so just queue up in there and the marshals will
sort you out. Be nice to them, they are there for our safety and security.
Sessions will be 12 cars on track, and about 12 mins which is enough,
believe me and it will be first come first served in the pits.
It tends to be a bit crowded early on, but that evens out and etol heads
will always chew the crap in the pit lane queue.
Track closes at 5.00 pm
