I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
mark jordan set the record in 2007 at bonneville with a two way of 136mph. the aprilia used the same engine as suzukis rgv (vj22 model). differences been airbox and i think cdi. the fastest rgv/rs was irc 127mph. the kr1 (earlier kr1s but fundamentally the same) was clocked at 131mph. the quickest the kr1s was clocked was 139mph. all figures based on performance bike roadtest when the bikes were launched. the rgv/rs both had superior handling as they sported usd forks, 17' rear opposed the kr1/s 18'. the kr still has the styronger engine and makes the best power over a wider spread. reliabilty wise, the kr1s wins hands down. despite been reffered to as a grenade, the bike was bulletfroof once the ring locating peg issue was adressed and the barrel length/squish was spot on. a lot of power can be gained through simple careful assembly. the vid is on youtube of mark doing a run on the bike you have north yorks rs spares.

My friend who raced in the bsb had one years ago , it was a ex race bike he put back on the road, and that so we were informed was clocked at 151mph in it's race trim, love the old two smokes, and currently looking at a rg400/500 , which I think a std 500 was took to bonneville had the air boxes removed and reached 150/151mph

the engine in my bike was in the supercup back in the 90's. sean emmet, john renyolds and a load of other top british riders rode in the series. chris walker rode and rgv as did jamie whitam. the racing was brilliant back then, with two strokes been significant and proddy racing in the small classes dominated by them. up to exotic ow01 yamaha's, rc30's, gsxrr and zxr rr with race kits fitted to the bonkers rotary norton. happy days. theres a 500 gamma with a seized engine at 6k on egay atm!!!

KR250-C2
VERY RARE 23 YEAR OLD BIKE WHICH IS CURRENTLY THE WORLDS FASTEST 250 2 STOKE IN THE WORLD
That opening line in the advert looks to me like you are bidding on the world record bike
He has now added to the advert after he has recieved quite a few messages asking if it is the WR bike , so obvious i wasnt the only one who thought his wording was a little questionable ,

and after talking with him he has said that he has recieved quite a few messages telling him that it isnt the world record bike
so obvious it isnt just me who thinks his advert is a little difficult to understand
He has even bothered to add to his advert to make it clear , and has even said he has had quite a few messages regarding the issue
Quite a nice fella who actually agreed himself that his own advert wasnt quite clear
Ps,
I wouldnt expect a reply from you saying anything other than a negative aginst me as i refused to sell you cosworth parts
Lol

Anyway - glad that I didn't disapoint you

If i said he was a c,,t , then i would agree i was maybee a little harsh to the fella
Anyway , no you didnt disapoint me at all
And i think the fact the advert starter agrees himself that his wording wasnt clear and has caused quite a few messages show that it wasnt just me , and that it justified him changing the advert to make it clear that the bike for sale Isnt the WR bike

This is what he put up last night
"On 22-Jan-13 at 23:42:06 GMT, seller added the following information:
Just had two people bring the same thing to my attention, a kr1-s is currently the worlds fastest 250. This is not the w/r holding bike, but obviously is a kr1-s. sorry for any confusion caused, was completely unintended. Thanks and good luck."

heres mark, the guy who built and travelled to bonneville making the kr1s the official fastest production 250 in the world. aswell as been a handy club racer he is also a very good tuner and has built the fastest f250 in the country. have got lots of tuning info from his in refference to the kr1/s over the years. a sound bloke who looks like a proffesor.this is the bike paul has, he took one bike but a few motors in different states of tune. i think to be eligible, the motor has to remain std albeit blue printed.

Its not over reacting at all
If only 10% of people thought that the bike on ebay was the WR bike ( my bike ) and i ever put my bike up for sale then i could see all the relevant bike websites ( bike versions of PF etc ) showing links and saying this bike sold 6 months ago on ebay for X amount etc etc
How many times on here have we seen debates about cars now for sale for X amount more than previously sold etc etc
I dont want any confusions as this could effect the credability and value of my bike that i paid good money for
I dont think its unfair to want clarity over this issue
I want to protect my investment thats all and adverts like his that are not very clear can do damage to the real item

When i collected the bike from Mark he told me all about his trip , the costs etc involved ( shocking ) and told me about the little tank slapper he had during the run ( if you watch close you can see it ) altho it doesnt look bad on the film Mark says it wasnt fun at the time
An atempt at the record by an american this year failed ( good for me ) as i understand his engine blew on the return run
So my bike still holds the record and i doubt it will be broke as the American fella said the costs involved are just so high that he will not try again , so i hope that the costs will put anyone else of from trying

Personally I would have just sent him a message on ebay to clarify the advert rather than making a big deal about it on here calling him names. No need to get so menstrual over it.
Good excuse to show off your bikes though.

how many posts do we get on here people moaning about ebay and being ripped of etc
Why be so menstral about it and just email the seller about it rather than post about it on here
go excuse to show of there cars tho
Go look at this full page and see how many posts your reply could be relevant to
about 70% .lol.
I look forward to your reply on all of them
