Default FAO Bike People, 125cc etc

Hi Guys,

I've got a good mate, who's 23, just done CBT on a geared 125cc bike, he's not sure whether to go straight to direct access or get a 125 and run it around for 6 months or so first?

He's on a tight budget, and was hoping to only spend £200-£300 on a 125 bike, but that possibly seems a bit unrealistic as he says he can't find any cheaper than £500? Then the argument is that by the time he's bought the bike, and insured it, he could do Direct Access!

Ideally he'd like the experience of having a 125 on the road though - where can you get cheap 125s?

cheap 125's dont exist mate, only the chinese copies but he'd be fixing it every day, direct acces and a er5 or cb500 would be ideal, there dirt cheap to buy run insure and not overly fast but have enough grunt

Cheers for the reply mate, sounds like he's better off just doing direct access then!

deffo direct in to big bikes then a cheapo 500 nag, cheaper to run insure etc than a 125 and more cabable of commuting etc
i did like my 125's and im breaking up my last aprillia now (had mostly tzr and rd's tho)

125's are always good money for good bikes and if they are cheap theres prob a reason
