first bike after passing my test
passed my test in may got this as my first bike
zx636 only 10k on the clock 2 owners
put a new rear can on it changed the leavers, hel brake lines and new fluid, dunlop qualifier tyres
usual full service items etc ( as it was stood for 2 years prior to me buying it)
pleased with it, it is comfortable to ride and fairly quick

Good man , a track day should be part of the test that way people would be ready to ride and not just jump in at the deep end , done snetterton new 300 monday it's well worth a go now

ZX6Rs (G, J or A) are a great first bike IMO.. not a full on race rep but more than capable in the right hands.
The 636 engine is great too.. surprising more midrange than the equivalent aged 600 of other makes..
Just get used to stripping and cleaning the 6 pot calipers after every winter.. They are great brakes when in top condition but they go off quick once the grim sets in and with 12 of everything (seals, pistons etc) they cost a fortune in bits alone...
