Default Leathers sizing.....

Thinking about getting another bike for this year and tried my 2 piece leathers on and not feeling very comfortable with them anymore :/

How the hell do you size 1 piece leathers? I see so many different options, or is it a case of going to a shop and trying a few on OR spending major money and getting a tailored set?

Also, bike wise, looking at an 200/2001 ZX6r/ZX636 or ZX7r

you need to go try them on, but remember 1 piece leathers wil be tight between crotch and shoulder when stood up straight but not when your sat on the bike.

Took my missus to a shop once where they had a dummy space frame bike that you could sit on and hang off to check comfort in the right position

I went through the minefield when i first started riding, even the idiot at heine gerrike didnt have a clue. I said im a 48 chest so he gave me a size 48 leathers, No chance, turns out you have to add 10 the what your chest is and then your right. so i needed a size 58. Went elsewhere and found that out. you'd have thought a salkeman in a motorbike shop to have known though

I think the best option would be going to different shops and trying several of them. You wont miss one that fits your style. A tailor made option is just too costly but if you have the money you can go for one. Its the best option.

Go shopping Gracey and get em tried on as the sizes are so inconsistant,
2 Alpinestars jackets, same size different colours, 1 fitted and 1 couldnt get round my shoulders.
Remember that the leather will stretch abit when new so a tight fit will loosen up aslong as you keep off the pies.
Get over to Padgetts in Batley, more leather than a cow farm, if Clive's daughter or grand-daughter is there youll be fine, if Mrs Clive is there she's a proper dragon.

HG staff are again so inconsistant, The Manchester shop is staffed by whoppers and McDonalds rejects, The Preston shop have guys that know the score and are very clued up about all that they stock.
Stoke shop is just good for a brew

you would have thought he would've known that, it being a german shop and all, and germany still being in europe

paul, i would go for 2 piece. 1 piece look silly, and are uncomfortable if it's a hot day and you want to walk around etc.
