Default Just passed test

Hi ive just passed my full bike test about two weeks ago and i got a fzr 400 street fighter and i have to say im gutted with the performance....i was thinking it be fast but very dissapointed am i wrong to be wanting something that pulls my arms out of there sockets.....

can you go round corners properly yet? Are you using ALL of the rear tyre ?

NO ive still got chicken strips on the tyres about 15 mm2

mate of mine just bought a zzr 400 and it was gutless turns out it had a restrictor kit fitted

I dont think its got a restrictor fitted pretty sure.... ive changed the carbs and it does rev all the way upto 13000rpm

if you still have 15mm chicken strips i wouldnt bother looking for a faster bike casue your obviously nowhere near riding a 400 to its full potential so whats the point.

I'd bear with it a bit longer as others have said. The 400s don't feel as quick as they are cos they don't have much low down IMO but they go well
It's invaluable this time you're now getting on the smaller bike to hone your skills for later on

Thanks for the advice i will stay with the 400 a bit longer now its behaving i was just pissed of with the power but it doesnt go that bad so will hone my skills first thanks

check for washers in the exhaust manifold mate


just cos it will rev out dosent mean its restricted ,


my honda cb1 was restriced and revved its tits off , was just gutless ,



but as said , untill your chucking it all over id stick with it ,


a good rider will go quicker on a slower bike than a shit rider on a fast bike !!!
