kx80 scrambler help, crank bearing question?
picked up a kx80 as a toy which needed a couple of gaskets and from what i can see/imagine the gearbox and engine share the same oil but the gearbox had a leak from the gasket and i think has made the bottom end knock slightly (havnt yet properly looked over it). im wondering how hard they are to get the crank out? and being these bearings:

i'd prob be alright with a polish and new bearings? just after a few opinions from people who tinker with bikes, cheers

The KX80 does not have a gasket between the 2 crank cases. The clutch cover does have a gasket on it. There are 2 crank seals but again the one of the RH side stops the gearbox oil getting in to the crank area. The on the LH side stops the air getting in to the crank case.
Ok the KX 80 you CAN NOT change the crank seals without stripping the engine and removing the crank and the main bearings.
I could recommend a good site for getting your engine parts from, but last time i did this i got an infraction

after racing these for 3 years and practicing for 5-6 , i went through 3 gearboxes and had all 3 done professionally, twice from a friend of mine. as taking them apart is the easy bit but putting them back together if you dont know what your doing is the hard part. just get it done professionally to be on the safe side

whipped it all apart today, all easy enough stuff to work on, must have dislodged the kickstart spring though as no kick start , will sort that in the week, bump started it and it shifts, looks to be a 100cc too
