acid-dip & electrophoretic coating
hi guys
thought i would show you all what i have had done to my s1
due to the fact that ALL cars from new are done but only lasts approx 20 yrs then starts to break down from the moisture in the air and uv light
when this starts to break down rust starts and we all know how fords like there rot
so i have had mine re done to stop it rotting away !!!
cost £910 to acid dip
and £1300 to de rust and e-coat
had to de rust again due to it being in bare mild steel for 8 weeks while i welded it all back up and it all rusted up
my car will be on the web site soon
best rust protection money can buy and there is only 1 place in the uk that does it and he does cars/parts from around the world
there is no other way you can treat and rust proof all inner cills/box section/chassi
there is 2 vids
1 is the acid dip
1 is the e coat
have a nosey at the tec info on the site aswell

are you sure it was damaged there as he has loads say that
im not saying your not telling the truth as mine had some damage when it went to e-coat
but loads say its damaged and turns out it was there all along and could not see it till filler/seam sealer is removed !!
my damage was slight crused floor from fork lift
and back panel where it hit the back of a vat going in the solution
he offerd to have a panel better to come and fix it/new back panel if needed and he would re dip it but i did not bother as it was minimal damage and did not care as i sorted it my self
i could accept small amount of damage as the prosses is out of this world !!!
world leading rust proofing some thing you cant buy in a tin !!!
what damage was done to yours mate ?

no sunroof, they asked if i wanted to drill the holes or if i wanted them to do it, so i did myself, they mainly wanted the roll cage drilled.i would have it done again but just not happy about the damage, alot of which could have been avoided with a bit of care,,,,
