Sky high insurance renewal
Has anyone else noticed their insurance go up massively for no apparent reason? My renewal for my puma has gone up by more than £200 with no claims, no points, no changes at all !

it used to happen each year for me, you either accept it and stick with the company because you think you are still getting a good deal, or go elsewhere and get a better deal off a different company.
Which insurance company? bell direct was the worst for this

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Car insurance in general has increased quote substantially over the last 12 months together with last year increase in insurance premium tax.
Regards,
Dan.

What you need to do is to go on your current companies website and get a quote as if you are a new customer. I guarantee you it will be considerably cheaper than what you've been quoted for your renewal, it may even be cheaper than what you paid last year. Then shop around to see if anyone can beat that quote. If no one can, then ring them up and confront them about it. Again, I guarantee they will give you the lowet price. I've done this for about the last four years with Admiral as we have a multi car policy. It's a bit of a ball ache but well worth it. This year they tried to sting me for an extra £300 ish. I got a quote as a new customer and ended up staying with Admiral with a price that was less than I paid last year. I even explain to them on the phone that this happens every year, but every year they try it on and we have to go through the motions!

not always, was with need2insure for many years but renewal premuim was £152 more than a fresh quote from flux, and funny thing was it was the same insurance underwriter too I was already with, shop around is always best advice
