Default getting silly now

Insurance is taking the mickey now, last year my insurance was 1500(ish) on our 2 cars (e46 325ci and a puma 1.7 me and my missis on both). Sent our renewal through £2600!.
In the end, after shopping about we had to just in sure the beemer £1050 and had to pay it in 1 to get it for that.
I pitty 17 yr olds.

I remember when I was 17 (long time ago now...) it was still stupidly expensive to get insurance - I ended up building a kit car and using that as my daily driver as the cover was dirt cheap. Crazy thing was it did 0-60 in 4 seconds so far more potential for insurance claims than the standard new driver granny wagon!

I found the more i shopped about and batted prices back and forth between insurers the price dropped quite considerably. I just insured my cossie on agreed value policy for under £200
