It does ask if you had accident and who's fault it is, maybe you missed it

Twats, who was the company as we will avoid

If that was me I would have just paid the extra as having that now on your record of having a policy cancelled will fuck you over forever, as they now ask if you've ever been refused and they ain't interested why, they automatically think its fraud related, big lesson learned.

was the policy cancelled or did it never start?

Bit daft that they triple the premium if youve had a policy previously cancelled.

along with , you asked for it to be canceled, rather than them canceling it on you, might be a difference there?

this is what happens when you dont read the terms and conditions of a policy

i would have thought that you haven't had it cancelled, you had the choice weather to carry it on or not, you chose to have your money back. Surely that shouldn't be classed as having it cancelled by the insurance company?

if you had been refused cover insurance companys think you have tried to defraud so charge you a lot more some wont even give you insurance if you canceled it then it should not be much more

They were going to void it if i didnt pay the extra £419 the claim anyway.. and i wasn't prepared to pay £419 for an accident that wasn't my fault, if it was i probably would have. I have managed to find insurance now to the tune of £1410 TPFT.. im 30 years of age and have 6 years of no claims. I did a quote online and someone rang me from the cheapest quote and i explained EVERYTHING to him and told him EVERYTHING and he got me that price. Thats convictions, claim and previous insured cancelled but i made it clear it was cancelled due to misunderstandings not fraud/lies. So if i get a call in a weeks time theyve dug deeper and find something else to fuck me over with I won't be happy !

I though the having insurance cancelled was them cancelling it for one reason or another, not you cancelling your own policy? Otherwise everyone that's sold a car and cancelled their policy would have to declare it and get stung...
