i have a escort rst which is currently sort till the wamer months arive , i am currently rolling around in a 306 diesel to get to work and back, when i get the esscort back on the road i am unsure what to do insurence wise, what have you guys done? classic isurence or multi car insurence? i have 8 years no claims and currently paying £350 for the pug a year, just would like some ideas on what you guys do....... cheers

am the same using my skoda at min but wanting to get the passat repaired and back on road so wanting to insure both but costs a fortune to insure second car cos you dont have any no claims

Just go limited mileage classic, i've got my 3 Door insured fully comp with a £50 excess agreed value limited to 3000 miles a year for £354 all in.

what company is that with mate? ive tried herritage but they said i have to be over 30 if its got a rs badge on it

I've used them on 2 separate occasions without any problems .

Currently insuring my daily driver and golf gti with them for £700 per annum on a multi-car policy. It has saved me £800 this year, which I would have paid extra had I taken out two separate policies. If the OP can't find a good classic policy, I'd recommend Admiral multi-car.

I would say look at getting the car insured under a classic policy because a lot of the time they aren't bonus rated it's more down to the vehicle and the driver. Plus they tend to give you agreed value which some companies won't do that on a private car policy!
