Default Proper modified Car insurance - who to use?

Who do you use for insurance on modified cars? I'm talking 350+ bhp

My Evo is due for renewal, and most people seem to have a fit when I start reeling off the car spec.

Tried so far:

Passionford Trader Sky insurance
HIC
Adrian Flux
Keith Michaels
Pace Ward
A Plan
Footman James (and two other companies they passed me on to), totally shite on mods over 350 bhp.
Boncaster
Nowell Richards

They were all the numbers in my phone from the good old days. Anyone else no anyone decent for big power / well modded cars?

I know there are plenty of bent fookers on here not declaring all their mods, well that's a mug's game and good luck with that one

I need a proper specialist insurance co and I'd like a sensible price.

Si

Tried them, they were ok ish. Best for my brother on his Zetec RST, so shame they didn't come up trumps for me.

What kind of quotes are you getting? I know people have had issues with them, but I've always found Flux to be the cheapest, or at very least the one most accepting of modifications.

Insurance in general has gone up a lot lately, you might find that the numbers they are quoting you that you dont think are reasonable are actually as good as it gets these days.

used these in te past, http://www.noeldazely.co.uk/

But as others have said, its gone up stupid amounts all round, even the overhalfs Ka renewal was over £100 more this year and we shopped around.

Currently with Adrainflux, were the best for me on a modded navara

Hi Chip,

Unfortunately not. However, we are always keen to expand our panel of modified and performance insurers. We currently work with Greenlight, Sky, Mayfair and Bridle in this market.

Are there any other brokers you recommend we get onto the panel?

Feel free to get a quote, there is no obligation and it is totally free: CLICK HERE

Cheers,

Jonny

I dont know of an insurer covering the ring currently, which is something that I know would interest a lot of people on here, was hoping you might know one.

I've got 3 now Chip

But I'm right with you on the Ring cover insurer request, hopefully Jonny can find someone?

I went with Keith Michaels in the end covering both my 590 bhp Evo and 380 bhp Escos for £1100. Both my vans are on some normal policy with a company so bland I can't even remember who they were

Quotezone also provides insurance comparison for all personal, business and commercial products.

Simon, just been speaking to Keith Michaels about ring cover:

Here: https://passionford.com/forum/insura...haels-plc.html

and more so by PM.

Would be well worth you making sure that when you next renew with them they put you on the right scheme so that you an get cover at the ring which is something they can offer!

Sounds JUST what we've all been looking for.
