returning expat - where to get insurance

Hi, I'm returning to the UK shortlyafter living in Australia for 15 years. One of the first things I'll be doing is picking up a Fiesta or Focus - a hire deal is money down the drain. Does anyone have any idea how to get insurance quickly and without hastle? I've a valid UK passport, a paper UK driving licence issued to my last UK address and I will have a permanent (different) address on arrival. Preliminary enquiries of some of the big companies have not bee encouraging! Regards, J

If you have built up bonus in Oz, you shouldn't have too many problems. You have a UK licence and passport too, so everythig working in your favour.
