Ive just upgraded from a 225bhp ERST to a Mk1 Focus RS. After 5 years driving escorts, I can say I wont be going back, the focus is so much easier to live with. Its more power than the escort and really reliable.

You can get an average FRS for 7-8ish grand, just my opinion of course.

old m5, prob is it will be high mileage at that money.

Might be a bit old man for you aswell although im only 27.

Never a better car out there for that sort of money,

Just the age and mileage issue.

well the m5 is abit of a old mans car at the mo 4 me im 23

mk1 focus rs really like them and seems the best choice but ive raced a few in my scooby and to be honest i just keep battering them ( dont think ive raced a overly modded 1) and there is no point me buying a slower car

and st's just not my cup of tea just (its a badge thing i suppose if i have a ford its gota be a rs)

saff cossy luv them but kinda old (similar to my escort in da way i dnt wna keep fixing it lol)

evo bit to much like a scooby to be fair

m3 yes but they are all over the place, but so far i suppose not a bad choice

u know wot guys, for my budget i dont tink id get a very good focus rs ( but even if i did its not going to be faster than me scooby) but i would like a focus rs but it would have to be modded 1

saff is just abit too old like i said before,

at the moment m3 evo or scooby sti/p1 or if some how i ca get a modded focus rs around the 300bhp mark that would be gr8! but highly doubt ill be able to get 1 like dat

Wanna bet?! 260 bhp scooby versus my 250 bhp FRS. My car will win. No transmission losses like the scoob and a bit lighter i think. I know as i have dragged them on dual carriagway before

Not off the line obviously...

I'm probably wasting my breath but i'll go anyway...you've clearly never seen a focus rs in action.

I'd gladly put it up against your impreza round any track you like. The focus is a very capable car!

NB i said your and not any impreza. any more horsepower and things may change.

What mods have you got to take your Impreza to 260bhp??

Since you mention an STi Impreza. You could buy my Impreza, with 338bhp, 6-speed box and quite a few other bits fitted... and have a decent lump of cash left over.

Cheers,
Grant

There was 110K M3 Manual with sat nav for 9K.

My first M5 was £7300. 100k MINT! with every extra other than heated seats.
