Its all down to features Vs Cost Vs Ease of use - and the fact I want to run some odd configs if poss

Data logging on the autronics is easy as pie - is this the same on T6 - dont need to buy extra software / memory etc?

So 2 simultaneous boost maps anyone? lol

I know the old pectel stuff is closed doors - was not sure if new pectel stuff was as they advertise so many datalogging systems.

Stu - where can i get the T6 software to get a look at its ease of operation etc?

Cheers

To be totally honest once you get to using any of these aforementioned ECU's the result is down to the skill of the guy installing and mapping it... a badly installed and mapped T10 would likely be a lot worse than a well mapped Motec or Autronic.

thinking about this twin boost control system, im almost sure it has some feature that can be used, in rallycross two pairs of air injectors ae used on each side of the external wastegates, one for the opening ranges and one for closed sides, so independant control must be used - unless there used reversed on one map ?? but i doubt it

To do that is easy just waiting to see what he acctuly wants it do with his boost control.

Nah trying something a bit more complex Over my head though lol. Just imagine having 2 turbos,2 wastegates and wanting to have a very different mapped boost curve for both of them. Think its probably over the top but would be nice to have

descpro cant run two wastegates with two different closed loop maps!

stu are you sure descpro is still free? i know it comes with ecus,, but without its 350 quid

Hello,
M400 Ł1495.00
M800 Ł1850.00

The older style M4 and M48 can still be supplied and used if you need
something a little cheaper. M4 Ł895.00, M48 Ł1160.00

Add ons e.g wide band lambda M400 and M800 Ł465
M800 advanced tuning Ł260.00 (includes anti lag, launch control, full
throttle gear shift, traction control, pit lane speed limiter, etc

Additional logging features are extra.
Steve (kaliber cossie) runs Motec M4 on his new 600bhp Brooklyn engine.

apart from the fact that this thread is ancient history, the t6 2000 was still available for a few years after the sq6 was launched.

AEM is growing fast in the UK, when i got my AEM ECU there were only a couple of people in the UK who knew it inside out - now theres a good few dozen!

However, to be completely truthful, the 3 ECU's you've narrowed it to are definitely the 'top end' of the available units.

I spent 2 hours the other day reviewing a customers datalog from a 20 lap race on Motec and was gobsmacked at the sheer volume of data, sampling rate etc. Very impressive!

Autronic is very good as well, good datalogging properties, slightly different to work with but great UK support from Mark.

Pectel - i think T6 2000 has now been replaced with SQ6? Again, outstanding support, specification etc. BUT as you've already found, the 'bolt ons' for closed loop, launch control, etc. etc. soon rack the cost up.

Have you considered Life Racing F88R/F88RS?

mines been on a month. Just been trying to get it driveable from a map completely unsuitable for the car. I also had the interesting task of trying to get it running as well! The software is pretty simple to use though and quite impressive. I'm getting used to all the key shortcuts so i don't really use the mouse much.
