Default esc cos price advice please people

Ok, i have seen a very, very nice escort cossie, well, a mate of a mate owns it and has offered me first refusal,
it is mallard green ( i love this colour ), has just over 14000 miles, 2 owners, k plate, all mots, tax discs, receipts from new ect including the original bill of sale, stage 3 tune with grp a gasket, mongoose full system, uprated pump, standard wheels and shocks with leda springs, bailey header tank, group a breather and swirl pot, car is minty mint and has had a cream leather re trim 5 years ago, leather is absolutly stunning and doesn't look half as bad as it sounds.
He is asking 18k for it, what is people opinions of this price?
first i thought it's quite high but then thought about the mileage and condition and parts fitted and thought maybe it's not too sad!
Any constuctive comments positive or negative will be greatly recieved, Cheers, Gary

i would say 18k isnt far off the mark for a condition as you describe, ask someone like pete for his opinion-he deals in them every day!

Theese cars fetch top money and are getting hard to find in good condition ,,
I wouldnt sell my K , plater for less than "16k and it is a high price but thats what i would want for it ( But i dont want to sell it )
I think this is a sencible price for a car with those miles , and at the end of the day if you like it and its worth that to you then sod what anyone else thinks , Buy it .best of luck

seems very reasonable, the only advice i would give you is dont go putting too may miles on it if you buy it, try to keep it down to a 2K if that and you will still have a car thats worth big money in a few years time

Thanks for all the comments people,
as for the mileage, it'll be doing around 4k a year at the most so it'll keep nice and low!!
