I got it from a mate who works at Rolls Royce back in 2001, couldn't believe it re-emerged and was called "original" *

The story goes (quickly cos i cant be fucked)

some sweedish geezer, or foreign at least used to take the piss out of his mates mopeds, so what you hear is him making the sounds (he done it on Radio 1 once and sounded just like it does on crazy frog ringtones)

Before all the hype, that website you put up took the sound and added it to a picture of a racecar and said 'if you laugh, ure insane' etc etc

Then a 3d artist (not very well known) took the sound and designed the frog for it and put it out on the net, where JAMSTER (the cnuts) saw it as a good marketing ploy and offered to buy it.

Was something like £1 million...but jamster have made 50 times that
