Mark, thats right, mine is exactly the same, check this out.....
You can see where the cable should push into the original retaining clip, but no chance as you say. I just cable tied mine further down round the tie bars, no problems.

Same on mine....just that little bit to short. I have noticed on a couple of peoples cars with 2wd rear disc conversions that the caliper is fitted on the front side of the disc rather than the rear

i think you lot have got the wrong end of the stick lol the sheath of the cable on mine it black and should go from the fix points to the fix point on the calipar ???????? mine is FAR to short and thats with out running it as adam has to the tie bars ??????????
looking at the pic it looks like the calipar needs going the other way round, but i still wont be able to tie it to the tie bars as it will still be short and the inner cable seem WAY to long ????????????????????????????????
i can see it staying in the garage another 2 years at this rate

think you boys must be doing something wrong then, mine were at the back of the disc, and i had plenty of slack, infact i would say too much, hence cable tieing it to the tie bars, other wise it would have caught the wheels

As per Ryan, I wouldn't say too much as the rs2k cable wouldnt mount on the chassis in the original position.
But there was plenty at the caliper end, and mine are fitted at the back of the disc and the handy cable comes up from underneath, yours doesnt look right mark
Also your braided hose looks a little stretched
Arn't you using esco cos rear callipers and not sierra? are they the same? I have no idea, maybe that is why?

The RS2000 cable should turn out like this if you get the correct one. (minus the rust lol)
I think Clint has sent you something else maybe ???
PS your post in 2003 shows how long this has taken..... you stated it was "easy fit"
