My MK3 Fiesta suddenly developed a pretty bad vibration issue last night after going round a round about quickly. Under any load now, the car begins vibrating from about 30mph, intensified more by throttle input rather than speed, however if I lift off the throttle it immediately disappears. Would this indicate a drive line fault or something else? Unfortunately I'm over 100 miles from home this week, I've only had chance to check the bottom arms, one rear bush on the N/S/F lower arm has had it so I've ordered a pair of arms, never experienced vibration like this before though with bad arms? Any ideas?

You need to check each bit, engine mount (this was the cause on my cossie) cv s, each bush, drive shafts, track control arms etc...check each one by one and if in any doubt then replace it. The good news is that with every bush replaced it will drive much better anyway.

Also check geometry

If just on tight corners then easily could be engine mount due to weight transfer

My old mk5 did that and it was the tripod joint on the driveshaft, took bloody ages to figure out

It's not just started it literally started right after going round a roundabout a little quick, I had it up in the air the other day before my trip down south to make sure everything was okay and it was, then yesterday when I jacked it up to check I noticed play in the N/S bottom arm due to the rear bush failing. Never experienced an arm cause vibration though, just seems coincidental for a driveshaft to have gone at same time :/

Inner CV joints, I had a bad vibration I couldn't get rid of and inner CV's where the culprit, they where faulty new ones so I first dismissed them.

I've ordered a pair of shafts today, second hand but not even eBay stock a pair. On closer inspection the boots on the inner ones have split, I'm back home now so I've been able to jack it up and check properly. Going to replace both bottom arms aswell, seems all the vibration has thrown the bolt from the gearbox stabilizer out aswell

Maybe the bolt from the stabiliser is the cause?

Iv got this same problem on you 4x4 focus cosworth but not till approx 100 MPH
and yes that's on the track lol

Sounds like an inner cv joint needing replacement
