The guy who did the photo shoot at our RS club BBQ said unless it's got over 500bhp and had thousands spent on it they won't want to know. Stopped buying car mags there and then. Went onto other mags where they feature everything from the guy in his shed to big money cars

I stopped buying mags some time ago as it was getting out of hand with me, I would buy 4 or 5 a month sometimes. Decided to save myself some money, if I do buy a mag now its Dsport from the states, its an import mag but its got a lot of engine building articles and testing in it (nice models too), well worth looking at, but watch out for postage costs.

I had just over 1700 mags at one point, mostly ford, bit of everything though, like fast car, max power, cars and car conversion etc. I'd rather read a feature on an interesting story of one that's had a lot of DIY fabrication and the owners own ideas rather than a chequebook car, seen a few articles in the past on people who have done unusual engine/transmission conversions and they go through the difficulty of the conversion and you see pics of interesting work, that's what I like to read about.

I buy fast ford and classic ford every month but haven't bought performance ford as much as I used to as it seems to have gone a bit weird and don't get that much feature cars in it anymore. Have a flick through in the news agent and if something catches my eye then I'll buy it but it's not often at all nowadays

Or get a full on thread up on here from start to finish. I'm sure plenty of people on here would read that and get involved in the thread

Can't remember if it was performance ford or fastford that did a feature on Daniel Batty's & his brothers 2wd saff and they where iirc 390bhp but very nicely put together so I don't think you need mega bhp but it would probably help lol.
