Default Newbie 52 focus 1.8tdci zetec

Hi there I've just got a 52 plate focus 1.8tdci zetec had few fords in my time xr31 xr21 rs2000 now this focus also got 13 plate fiesta the wife's car my focus is of the road at the Mo I want to do it up a little after looking online I've seen people add the tuning box I was gunna get a full remap done but to expensive at Mo also going to install induction kit new intercooler lower it new brakes also struggling to find full exhaust system for decatting it any help would be great thanks

on a old tdci focus very little gains to be had and I would honestly spend my money elsewhere as wrong car to play with

wouldn't bother with a tuning box. I had one on my old 115bhp 1.8 and it didn't make any difference other than making it smoke loads.
I ended up getting a remap on it which you could definitely feel. I think the quoted power increase was around 20%

Regarding exhaust, your best bet is to remove the resonator and the filter element from the downpipe.

Thanks guys might be worth waiting and spending the money on something else I hate new fords my wife's fiesta is going back only had it 12months and it's nackard they refused to deal with wile it was under warranty told them to take it back this is why I got this old focus it was cheap no rust apart from exhaust mint con runs well 12onths mot got it for Ł500

Happy days mate that's a bargain. Would look good with some st 170 bits bolted on. There's a guy on here who breaks loads of them. I like the wheels on the sts

ye so do i also what other parts from st can i fit i was thinking new downpipes decat threw exhaust st wheels induction kit might get font facing intercooler would any of these from st fit mine might be cheaper option lol

haha i know theres not much you can do to them really this is first desiel so far all I've seen is 150bhp max come out of these mods is it worth spending more money than cars worth on it although its only gunna cost around a grand for parts maybe tad more i know will never get it back but is it really worth spending

With diesels it's the torque figure u want to concentrate on More. I've seen some tuned diesels with like 400bhp but 1000 ft lb of torque
