Anyone know if Danny is still about? He did a great job on my Firenza tunnel and my other project car has a job that he could do.. Anyone?

how far back are we talking about though martin?

was this done after the adrenaline stuff or while they were trading?

there are a few folks who knew him but can't remember who they are, or if the thread about it is still available, that would probably be the best resource

or ask jay, he knows everyone

How far are you willing to travel? A good mate on here does fabrication, currently works for Simon Norris!
Not all that far from Combe.

Well, ill get Dan (not me) to drop you a line, he used to work for Caged, made the cage for Lee's westfield, and my sierra, also made the chassis' for caterham, done some titanium welding for Ariel and now works for Norris after rebuilding his SWEVO.

So, id say he does a good job lol

What about the more drag orientated guys ?

Hauser, Webster, Sleath, Andy Robinson ?

or Simpson Motorsport who built Norris' Evo ?

They can all throw a few tubes together. Or further afield, Andrew Gallacher ?

Or there's bound to be a lot of rally/cage guys who could do it too.

Or perhaps ask over on Turbosport, custom fab might be a bit more common over there with the MK2's etc.

Or hell, even Craig at Dynotorque certainly knows how to fabricate and is certainly well versed with conversions and isnt too far from you

Anyone doing custom work like that to a high standard wont be cheap.

But then you wouldnt want it done to a low standard.

I don't recall now, I'm sure I just used his name and company name but I've just tried that again and got nothing, he may have closed his account.

Did you ever speak to my mate Dan who works for Simon Norris? He runs a sideline business of DT Fabrications.

Yeah I emailed (or pm'd) him asking for a rough costing but I don't think I got a reply. I'm not sure about taking it there if its a bit of a sideline.

Dingla is in Yorskshire but seems to do a good job. I assume you and Mark at MK no longer do any business.

I was going to get Mark to do it but he's always busy and I don't want the car away forever.

Edited to say that I've been in contact with Mark @ MK and we've struck a deal and it goes in February.

Glad to hear it. I think Mark is a lot faster since he moved to his new unit.

I think he is going to refabricate my 205 shell with WRC mounts and full WRC cradle and a cage.

Just to be clear, its Mark Walker at MK Motorsport that's carrying out the work. He's quoted 4-6 weeks to complete the job.
