Hi all,
Bit stuck with deciding a head gasket thickness for my 2.0 blacktop zetec, spec so far:

Ported cylinder head
Kent Focus12 cams
Kent Cf66 larger followers
Wossener hi comp Pistons
Pec rods

So gonna get the head skimmed a touch maybe 0.15mm to get rid of minor scuffs and need a head gasket but worried about cams hitting Pistons. Been told by burtons standard compressed thickness of a blacktop gasket is 0.5mm but also seen it to be 0.8/0.9mm?

Anyone already built a spec similar to this and can advise what head gasket they bought?

When i have done zetc turbo's i always use the mk1 focus rs headgasket, the thicker one for skimmed heads

standard ford is 0.6mm, victor reinz list theirs as 0.6mm too.

Always measure everything before you assemble it. work out the CR and take the material from the head rather than worrying about the thickness of the gasket

Iam sure ford do 2 multilayer head gaskets 1 standard and 1 designed for recon heads that have been skimmed
Standard ford multilayer head gasket is fine upto 550 bhp
