Hello,
Does anyone know of a specialist that can do an engine conversion on my new shape transit connect, hopefully down south?
I've got all the parts to do the job, the conversion needs no cutting or welding.

As above, give as much details as poss then your more likely to get somebody to recommend who would be best for the job

I have shipped over a complete 180ps 1.6 ecoboost connect from the states ( I'm pretty sure it's the same lump as in the fiesta st?) My connect is the 1.6 115ps diesel. Just need to swap everything over. The only issue I can see is that if the loom has to be changed over as it is from a left hand drive?

Given the integration of ecu's, immobilisers etc in modern cars....you'd probably need a lot more than just the wiring loom. Engine, wiring, clocks, key, any transponders and perhaps much much more. it's a big job.

It would probably be easier just to use an aftermarket ecu to run the engine only.

I have the whole donor van so the parts are there just one minor problem being it's left hand drive. I've tried a few firm's but no luck, even tried Mountune,lol. I'll just just have find the time and do it myself.

Would it not of been easier to buy a petrol one in the first place? Ford did do a 1.6 ecoboost auto connect.

I looked into that, 150ps ecoboost but only in the tourneo connect, rare as rocking horse shit and over 10k. It cost me Ł4800 for a 180ps ecoboost from the usa with a light rear end with 6000 miles on the clock. Everything should be interchangeable, hopefully, they are all made in the same factory, just maybe the wiring under the dash being an issue being lhd?
