i think so the problem is you need to cover all the area and clean it up really well otherwise the rust will creep back in .are you saying its shite for what it costs then? is it brittle like hammerite as its an enamel, i did my petrol tank in red and it chipped off really badly after a while.

I used it on my car. It's still perfect and caused me no issues. Quite difficult to apply though. Use all the correct pre paint stuff and remove all the rust. Get the correct thinners too because it comes off nothing without it. My hands were grey for days!

Matty i bought a kit off ebay which camw with 2 tubs that you use to treat the metal before putting the paint on. If your storing the paint tin i would put it in the fridge cause mine dried out really quickly.

Bloody brilliant stuff , must get as much loose rust off first. DO NOT get this on your skin or you will be that colour till you grow new stuff

I've used it on the front panel of my escort, seems decent.

Planning on doing all the rear suspension on our focus ST.

Look at this product - http://aquasteel.co.uk/
Very easy to use, doesn't matter if it goes on your skin and uses the moisture in the rust to chemically convert the rust to a stable compound. Dries quickly to a surface that can be painted over with almost any primer or paint. And it's relatively cheap. I've been using it for only a few months but my tests on things like rusty brake drums have proved to me that it does what it says on the bottle.
